Lloydminster hosts Saskatchewan Summer Games 100 days warm-up

With 100 days to go until the 2024 Saskatchewan Summer Games kick off in Lloydminster, the city is hosting a warm-up event outside the Library at the LloydMall on Friday, April 12 from 3:30 p.m.

Presented by Tiene Energy, the 100-days-to-go teaser will see mascots getting in gear along with organizers as they raise the anticipation ahead of the summer sports showpiece.

There will be prize giveaways, a photo booth, and information to encourage people to volunteer to help out at the event which takes place July 21-27. Over 2,000 athletes, coaches, and officials will gather in the Border City, and over 1,000 volunteers are needed for the event.

Some $500,000 is being spent on sports, recreation equipment, and facilities in Lloydminster in preparation for the games. The city expects to generate $5 million in economic activity for Lloydminster and area.
