New staff coming to support student mental health at Lloyd Comp

A new hire is in the mix to support the mental health of students at the Lloydminster Comprehensive High School.

With new funding from the Saskatchewan government through the Mental Health Capacity Building (MHCB) in Schools program the new staffer will need to bring their experience in youth mental health to the table.

“Lloydminster Comprehensive High School, LPSD, and the Mental Health Capacity Building Team will collaborate to create a vision and plan for LCHS that will enhance the school environment and sense of belonging of all students. This plan will involve some additional targeted staff to aid the team in actualizing the plan,” says Stacey Klisowsky, Superintendent of Education, Lloydminster Public School Division.

The government announcement of new support was made on Thursday. Lloydminster Comprehensive will join 15 schools in Saskatchewan to receive more mental health programs for students.
