The repaving of Highway 14 east of Wainwright is expected to get underway on Friday, June 21 until the fall.
Highway officials say to expect delays and reduced speed. Travel will be down to one lane or alternating lanes as crews are working in both directions from Highway 41 to Highway 17 south and extending about 1 kilometre across the Saskatchewan border.
Look out for flag people, workers, and signs in the construction zone.
Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors intends to do repairs on about 55 kilometres of highway with plans to be done in the next four months.
Work will go from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with breaks over long weekends and special events.
