National Indigenous Peoples’ Day will be observed on Friday, June 21, and the Lloydminster Native Friendship Centre is putting together an event to celebrate the occasion.
The program lists lunch from noon and an artisan market. The welcome ceremony will follow at 1 p.m., Powwow and music band from 1:30 p.m., and local jiggers and dancing from 4 p.m. with dinner being served at 5 p.m.
Organizers are inviting the community to join the celebrations at 4602 – 49 Avenue.
