Lloyd Comp STEM teacher collects PM Award

A Lloydminster Comprehensive High School teacher is being saluted with a Regional Prime
Minister’s Award for Teaching Excellence in STEM.

Rhae Fletcher has been awarded the prestigious Regional Certificate of Achievement for the
2024 Prime Minister’s Award (PMA) for Teaching Excellence in STEM. The accolade recognizes exceptional contributions to education in the fields of Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

“I am honoured to receive the Prime Minister’s Certificate of Achievement in STEM. It acknowledges not only my efforts but the collaborative spirit and support of my colleagues and mentors. I want to thank everyone who has supported me on this journey,” said Fletcher.

The award is seen as a personal triumph and a testament to the school’s commitment to excel.

“This award strengthens my passion for STEM education, a field that continuously inspires me to innovate and engage young minds. I believe that through STEM education, we can equip students with the critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed to address some of the world’s most pressing environmental challenges. Looking ahead, I am excited to continue exploring and learning what is possible within STEM education to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators,” said Fletcher.

The Lloyd Comp team is keen to support the next level in the STEM teacher’s work.
