The City of Lloydminster, Cenovus Energy and community partners will break ground at the new event centre, the Cenovus Hub on Tuesday Aug. 29 at 2 p.m.
The $93.9 million facility will be used to host a wide range of art, culture, sport and other recreational activities, say city planners.
The shovels will hit the ground on 40 Avenue just south of the Gold Horse Casino.
It will be livestreamed via the city’s social media as the in-person segment is by invitation only.
