The renal dialysis unit which is to be built in Lloydminster has been pushed back to 2024.
The proposed location, next to the hospital, is still occupied by the SHA Lloydminster Community Services. That operation is to move downtown to the SHA (Prairie North) Plaza.
AHS officials indicate the cost of the project has seen an increase to the original budget of just over $4 million, however, the Alberta government has approved additional funds.
The AHS indicates that renovations for the collaborative project with the SHA are to begin in early 2024.
