It’s been a world win couple of days for a Kitscoty man who got married, celebrated a birthday, and then won the Lotto Max Extra.
Leonard Stanley is celebrating all these glad tidings as on Sep. 19 he bought the ticket but didn’t realize he was a winner until October.
“It was a celebratory week,” he said while claiming his prize in October. “I was up late with my buddy on my birthday, and I started checking some of the lottery tickets I hadn’t checked yet.”
Stanley laid the good news on his new wife when she woke up the next morning. The couple has not made any plans for the money as yet.
Stanley bought his ticket at the Alcurve Store at the junction of Highways 17 & 45 & 3 north of Lloydminster.
He won his prize by matching the last six digits of the EXTRA number drawn on Sep. 19 – 3815291.
