The 10th annual Parade of Lights in downtown Lloydminster is set for Dec. 19, and organizers are seeking volunteers to pitch in with things like the barricades.
Apart from the shiny glitz of the Christmas season illuminated by the lighted decorations on the various floats, the event raises funds for some local causes including the Lloydminster Region Health Foundation, Lloydminster Rescue Squad, and the Lloydminster Agricultural Exhibition Association.
Residents have come to enjoy the special magical moments of being outdoors on some cold winter evenings to have their hearts warmed by the pageantry of the festive and moving light displays.
The parade runs from 7-10:00 p.m.
Toy donations will be collected for the Lloydminster Sexual Assault Services. More information and registration details are available by calling the Lloyd Ex at 306-825-5571.
The last day to register a float is Dec. 13.
