Wainwright showed up for their annual Candy Cane Checkstop in support of the Wainwright Kinsmen Holiday Hamper Program on Saturday, December 14.
With the local RCMP officers, medics, the Wainwright Fire and Rescue team, local volunteers, and members of the Kinsmen – they posted up a Checkstop in downtown Wainwright, in front of the buffalo statue, for a good cause.
Thanks to this tradition and fundraiser more than $4700 in toys, monetary donations and non perishable food item were collected.
Wainwright first responder are thanking everyone for their support and community spirit as the donations will provide much-needed assistance to families during the festive season.
