Local police are also taking this time to remind you to be cautious when selling items online. Exchanging items in a public space with witnesses is ideal.
Making marketplace buy and sell exchanges in police detachment parking lots when dealing with valuables such as jewelry or electronics is not uncommon and recommended when possible. Taking this step can reduce your chances of being seriously hurt, injured, or having your items stolen from you.
