Vermilion RCMP have charged a suspect in a case of sexual interference.
On March 24, 2025, Vermilion RCMP received a complaint of an inappropriate relationship between an adult and a minor.
The investigation led to the arrest of Spencer Carlson, a 20-year-old resident of Vermilion.
The suspect is charged with:
- Sexual Interference
- Invitation to sexual touching
- Luring via telecommunication
- Sexual assault
- Possession of child pornography
Carlson was brought before a justice of the peace, where he was released from custody and is to return to Alberta Court of Justice in Vermilion on May 5.
