Get ready to be transported to Greece as the annual LRHF Gala will adorn the Lloyd Ex on Friday, April 25.
Presented by Richardson’s Jewellery, the 23rd edition will once again see attendees dressed to the nines in the interest of priority health needs.
“This year, we are buying some ice machines for the long-term care centres. We are getting a blanket warmer for another long-term care centre. Also, furnishing the new family space for the Lloydminster Hospital,” says Stephanie Munro, CEO. “It is a huge enhancement.”
She notes that since before the Covid-19 pandemic, the hospital has not had a family space.
“An area for patients and family members as well as staff to be able to go and relax. Have that moment that they may need – away. To be able to grieve or have some conversation. To have that family space available at the Lloydminster Hospital again is going to be such an enhancement.”
Funds from the Gala support things like mental health resources, and equipment greatest needs at “any given time.”
Munro says they are very grateful to support that effort, along with numerous other healthcare initiatives that the fundraising enables.
