The City of Lloydminster is getting its crews to tackle residential street sweeping from Monday, April 28.
The City says work is underway in the downtown areas and main routes.
Residential street sweeping will follow the curbside collection zones, and sweeping will begin in the yellow (Tuesday garbage collection) zone, followed by green (Friday), orange (Wednesday), and pink (Thursday), before finishing in blue (Monday).
Motorists are advised to stay eight metres away from street sweeping equipment. Also, avoid parking on the street when sweepers are scheduled to be in your area. Signs will be posted advising residents at least 36 hours in advance of sweeping operations.
Residents are asked to place bins for curbside collection after 7 p.m. the day
before pickup and remove them by 7 p.m. the same day of pickup.
Street sweeping will take place usually between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m., Monday to Thursday.
