Police investigating damage at Bud Miller Park

Lloydminster RCMP are investigating after they report several thousands of dollars in damages have occurred at Bud Miller Park.

The “majority of damages were related to vandalism to picnic tables, exterior of buildings, tagging / graffiti on play structures,” according to local police who have also, supplied images of burnt out portable potties and garbage disposal units.

This as the popular Lloydminster recreation space has once again been the target of summer vandalism. Police are reminding residents that the park is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., and after-hours violators could face “enforcement action.”

Police say they got over 30 calls, all coming in after-hours about activity in the park.

They add that RCMP and City of Lloydminster Municipal Enforcement will continue to make patrols of the park to address any issues that arise.
