With the closure of the WestJet Link service between Calgary International Airport and Lloydminster, the City of Lloydminster has asked WestJet for further discussion.
Mayor Gerald Aalbers says the city and people in the region have reacted with surprise to Thursday’s decision to wind up the flights effective April 15, 2024.
WestJet has indicated in its statement that its decision came due to concern about the route’s viability.
