More fire bans and restrictions are in effect for areas east of Lloydminster.
In the RM of Turtle River a complete Fire Ban is in effect. This covers areas around Edam and northeast of Paynton where a fire restriction is already in place.
The R.M. of Frenchman Butte has issued a Level One Fire Ban. As of April 24:
- All open burning in R.M. is banned
- Exemptions to a Level One Fire Ban providing there is supervision and a fire extinguish plan:
- Recreational camp fires
- Barbeques
Burning permits previously issued are no longer valid, until further advised, and anyone burning without a permit or with a cancelled permit will be fined.
